Petgeia

Try Petgeia, your family vet.

Everyone desires love and companionship throughout their lives. However, with the increased worldwide lifespan, decreasing marriage and birth rates, many have began to rely on pets for the companionship and unconditional love they provide.

All owners want to protect and love their furry friends forever, and easily keep their health in check without frequent, expensive doctor visits.

When severe symptoms start showing, we realize how much they have suffered, and wish we had done more.

How could this have been prevented or discovered earlier?

How can we stop worrying and keep track of their health after they recover?

How to care for your furry companion?

Pets are like family, all owners want to offer them and healthy and happy life. But just like us, they fall sick, and grow old. Being able to make early diagnoses, have regular checkups, is key to a happier and longer life.

Common diseases in Cats and Dogs

Feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD) is a term used to describe conditions that can affect the urinary bladder/urethra of cats. The symptoms of these conditions include bloody/ cloudy urine, loss of bladder control, constant licking of urine opening, and urinating outside of litter box. The conditions may present itself as a variety of problems such as, inflammation of the bladder (cystitis) or urethra, formation of urinary crystals/stones in the bladder (crystalluria/urolithiasis), and/or partial or total obstruction of the urethra. Urinary tract obstruction is also referred to as plugged-penis syndrome in male cats and dogs. Complete urethral obstruction can be fatal if left untreated. According to statistics, FLUTD affects 30% of all domestic cats, the first infections starting between ages 2 ~ 6 years of age. About 10% ~ 20% of these pets develop recurring problems with FLUTD if the correct preventative measures are not taken.

We can help – HygeiaTouch’s Approaches

We are trying to solve the abovementioned issues with the following:

We have spent almost a year developing a urinary diagnostic device for pets, and we strongly believe that Petgeia will benefit not only pets but also pet owners and veterinarians in the near future.
